What different types of accounts are there and how much will it cost?

Pet Keeper Accounts

There are 2 types of pet keeper account.

Our Connected subscription is £15 per year and includes the essentials:

• Secure and DEFRA compliant microchip registration for multiple pets
• Instant notifications by SMS as soon as your lost pet is scanned and searched on our database
• Ability to update your contact details to facilitate a quick reunification if your pet is missing and to comply with current legislation.
• Register up to 5 pets in your account
• A proof of keepership certificate, issued annually
• 5 weeks’ free pet insurance via our partner Agria

For added peace of mind, many pet owners prefer to upgrade to our Lost & Found subscription for £30 per year, which offers premium benefits and proactive support to get your lost pet home faster:

• Instant alerts sent to our pet finder network in the local area when you report your pet as missing
• Ability to upload a photo and create lost posters using our template from your account, saving you time
• Access to unlimited, 24/7 virtual vet consultations
• All of the features of our Connected plan as standard
• Access to Pets Reunited VIP Plus

What is included in Pets Reunited VIP Plus?

When a pet is reported missing on Pets Reunited, notifications with the missing pet's details will be sent to local vets, rescues, and volunteers. Ready-made posters and flyers will be generated for you and emailed directly to your inbox ready for you to print at home and distribute straight away. A search engine optimised, dedicated web page for your missing pet with a photo, location map and all the key details about your pet will also be generated.

Many customers of pets reunited enjoy the phone number masking feature, which enables you to keep your personal number private and instead use a temporary mobile number on any posters. This can be switched off once you are successfully reunited with your pet for your privacy and security.

Breeder Account

This is a free account which you can open on Animal Tracker. This allows you to hold records of animals you have bred and when you sell an animal you can generate a transfer code.  The new keeper will be required to have one of our two account options mentioned above in order to complete the transfer (£15 or £30 at the point of account registration).

Microchip Implanter Account

You can open a free account on Animal Tracker.  We will verify your account by your Implanter PIN.  You can also select you are a Breeder if this is applicable. 

Veterinarian Account

You can open a free account on Animal Tracker.  If you are registering microchips on Animal Tracker you should also tick the box to select you are an Implanter.  We will verify your account and you will receive an email when these checks are completed.

Animal Warden Account

You can open a free account on Animal Tracker.  You will be asked to verify your email address and you will receive an email when these checks are completed.

Police Account

You can open a free account on Animal Tracker.  You will be asked to verify your email address and you will receive an email when these checks are completed.

Welfare Organisation Account

You can open a free account on Animal Tracker.  If you are registering microchips on Animal Tracker you should also tick the box to select you are an Implanter.  We will verify your account by requesting your implanter PIN, charity number or by another method and you will receive an email when these checks are completed.  This account allows you to hold multiple animals in your keepership and enables you to generate transfer codes to give to people who buy/adopt your animals, so they can register themselves as the new keeper for free into a basic pet owner account.  Click here for information on keeping your details held on the microchip when the animal is re-homed.
